freeze water bottles and use as ice for trips to the store, park and lake. You won’t have to deal with the mess of melted water and have water on hand to drink.

My favorite tip would be to make a ton of kool-aid!! We live on kool-aid throughout the summer. It’s cheap, it’s easy, and the kids love it!!!

My summer tip is to remember to wear a hat when you are out in the sun because our scalps need protection too. Also have fun and stay cool

Thanks for the giveaway – I got a lot of great tips from the Scott Common Sense site! My favorite summer tip would be one for staying cool and doing so in a “green” fashion: Hang a dampened sheet over the windows in a room, because the moisture will evaporate the breeze, therefore making it much more pleasantly cool.

Wear sunscreen even when it is overcast- the worst burns happen when people think they don’t kneed it because the sun isn’t bright.

Before we go out, I take sandwich bags full of ice & paper towels inside. When the ice melts, we use it to wash our hands and the towels to clean our faces.
