Many foods are tough for children to digest. When I first became a mother, doctors recommended that rice cereal as one of baby’s first foods because of how easy it is to digest. While I don’t follow that rule today, I agree that products made with rice are more easily digestible than a lot of other foods. Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal is among those products that are easy for kids to digest, making it gentle for their tummies.
Luckily, I’ve been fortunate and thankful that all six of my babies have been healthy and haven’t had trouble with digestion problems whatsoever. When my children think of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal, they mostly associate it with Rice Krispies treats. They can’t get enough of those marshmallow sweetened Rice Krispies treats and last year about this time, we added orange food color, placed a chocolate in the middle of the treats, and formed them into pumpkins as a fun, fall themed snack.
This year, they’d like to do it again and since Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal is easy to digest, it would be great to make a big batch for a party or bake sale. It would be a safe bet that they could be enjoyed by most people and we wouldn’t have to worry about them troubling kids who may have be suffering from digestive issues. The kids can’t wait to make more snacks from Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal and to get our creative juices flowing for another fall inspired treat.
