Taggies Swing ‘N Go Portable Swing Mom Review:
Swings have been my saving grace with my past 5 babies. You can imagine how dismayed I was to learn that my 6th baby wasn’t too fond of them. This meant a lot of extra baby carrying, making many of my household tasks more challenging. I consoled myself with the thought that this time period wouldn’t last forever and this season of life is fleeting and to enjoy my baby no matter what.
When there was an opportunity to review the Taggies Swing ‘N Go Portable Swing, I jumped all over it. Maybe baby Valor didn’t like traditional swings, but possibly the lure of a smaller sized swing with eye catching Taggies he can spot and grab might be the ticket I need to get a little relief from babywearing all day long. It was worth a try anyway and I couldn’t lose either way.
As you can see in the picture above, it looks like the Taggies Swing ‘N Go Portable Swing was a winner! He wouldn’t hardly stand to be placed in a swing, much less go to sleep in one so the fact that he was able to enjoy his time in this swing and be able to lull himself to sleep in it speaks volumes for this mama. With the Taggies Swing ‘N Go Portable Swing’s soft and sweet music selection, it seemed to help keep him calm enough to sit there and get to know his new swing.
As you can tell in this picture, he loved the Peek-A-Boo blanket that can get pulled out from the t-strap. He enjoyed chewing on the loops of the blanket and that keeps him occupied for a long time. He also likes to gaze at the cute snails above and try to reach for them. I think the Taggies Swing ‘N Go Portable Swing’s small size helps to make him feel more secure to actually relax and have fun.
My favorite aspects of the swing, aside from the fact that it saves my back from having to hold him all day long, is that it doesn’t take up much floor space and can be folded down with one hand for easy portability or storage. It took me about 15 minutes to assemble and the swing’s cover is a breeze to take off and put back on whenever it needs to be washed. The timed swing settings is great to extend battery life and although we’ve had the Taggies Swing ‘N Go Portable Swing for a solid month now and being used daily, I’ve yet have had to switch out the batteries.
The only thing that would make me like this swing more is if it would have been made to accommodate bigger babies. As it stands now, he will outgrow it shortly and I’ll be back to square one. I can only hope that with him taking to the Taggies Swing ‘N Go Portable Swing, perhaps it will provide a way for him to transition to a full sized swing and actually give it a chance.
