About Kidde Worry-Free Smoke Alarm:
In a recent study by Kidde, homeowners admitted that while aggravated by “home annoyances” such as late-night, chirping smoke alarms, they don’t see this scenario as the potentially life-threatening safety risk it actually is.
Need proof? National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) statistics indicate that the primary reasons smoke alarms fail to operate in home structure fires is a missing/disconnected battery (50%) and dead/discharged battery (23%).
A chirping smoke alarm is more than just a “home annoyance” – it’s a sign that batteries need to be replaced to keep your family and whole house safe from potentially deadly fires. This fall, Kidde is launching a line of Worry-Free Smoke Alarms, which offer a variety of benefits to the millions of Americans who rely on continuous battery-powered smoke and fire detection in their homes. The new alarms are powered by sealed-in, long-life lithium batteries for 10 years (the life of the alarm).
Kidde Worry-Free Smoke Alarm Mom Review:
Smoke alarms are a necessity in helping to protect your family from smoke inhalation and fire. Now that it’s the holiday season, there will be more cooking going on and other types of activity that increases fire risk. Ensuring you have good quality smoke alarms you can trust is essential! But what about when your smoke alarm is running low in battery and makes them non-functional?
You know you can’t trust them when they run low or run out of batteries altogether. And then when they run low, they emit this annoying chirping sound to warn you that you need to change the batteries. I don’t know how many nights we were woken up in the middle of the night due to smoke alarms that were almost out of battery life. It was frustrating to have to get up and figure out which alarm was going off. Since they were all hardwired and linked together, it made it that more challenging and upsetting to find the right one that was setting off the chirping noise.
That’s why I like the idea of Kidde Worry-Free Smoke Alarm! I know that as soon as we put it up, we’ll have 10 years before the long-life lithium battery will die which means more uninterrupted sleep for us and better peace of mind that our smoke alarm is working efficiently. The Kidde Smoke Alarm works nonstop 24/7 with features designed to address location-specific safety needs such as a light in the hallway for egress and innovative smart sensing technology for kitchens to minimize nuisance alarms caused by cooking. We’ll get to put those chirping noises behind us for good and know that our family will be kept safe in the event a fire happens.
The Kidde Worry-Free Smoke Alarm comes in 4 different models to suit your needs: Kidde Worry-Free Living Area Smoke Alarm ($24.97), Kidde Worry-Free Bedroom Smoke Alarm ($29.97), Kidde Worry-Free Hallway Smoke Alarm ($34.97), and Kidde Worry-Free Kitchen Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm ($49.97).

I could use the Hallway one the most. Especially in our stair area, the ceiling is so high, so not having to change batteries often would be wonderful.
Thanks so much
