Organize Your Family For Free With DoughMain.Com

In a homeschooling family of 7, you can bet that my life needs stability and structure.  Without a schedule or plan, I can forget about accomplishing all the goals I have for my family and home.  That’s why it’s essential that I organize my family’s activities so we can stay on the right track

Recently, I learned about doughmain.com, a site that offers a variety of FREE tools to help organize your family and games/websites available for teaching children financial responsibility.  They have family organizer tools like an allowance tool, chore tracker, and online family calendar to help things run smoother in your household.

My own family can benefit from their chore tracker and online family calendar.  I am constantly asked what else my children need to do and the chore tracker tool helps to keep them on task and finish their chores without having to check with me every time to see if they are done with all their chores.

With the chore tracker, I can assign my children’s tasks based on chores and how frequently they need to tackle them.  Their chores are color coded so they can easily see which chores are theirs and check them off as they’re completed.  You can take a look at what our chore tracker looks like in the picture above.

They earn dough points for every chore they check off and parents can set what amount of dough points are earned for each chore.  When they rack up enough dough points, they can redeem them for money, rewards, or special privileges.  You can also integrate the allowance tool into the chore tracker so that it will keep track of how much allowance they have earned.

The allowance tool is set up so you can track how much allowance your children have earned allows you to personalize settings for allowances for each child. Both parents and kids can review the allowance status from their DoughMain home page.  You can set it up to choose allowance award notifications to come directly to you through email or DoughMain messaging.  You can set up your kids allowance tracker for actual money, dough points, or virtual currency.

I also like the online family calendar.  With this family organization tool, it’s a cinch to keep track of everyone’s schedules and events.  You can color code each event or activity to pertain for each person in your household.  You can even import your community calendar for school, sport teams, scouts, and more.

There’s even an option to set up reminders to alert you of an upcoming activity too.  When you’re on the go, you can easily check your family’s schedule with Doughmain.com’s mobile version through your mobile’s web browser.  It’s as simple and efficient as that!

Another one of my favorite features of DoughMain.com is that they also offer 3 age relevant game/websites for teaching children financial responsibility (thefunvault.com, sanddollarcity.com, and irulemoney.com).  Each financial responsibility game has teacher developed content that includes specially selected financial education concepts and skills appropriate for each age group to learn and master.

As with all DoughMain.Com’s family organization tool, these money games are absolutely FREE for you children to play.  I think in this day and age, when our economy is in the worst debt it’s ever been in, I think it’s extremely important to teach your children at a young age on how to save and spend their money wisely.  This would be a great way to do just that!
