Did you know that for the past 100 years, every time you bought a Hershey’s product and enjoyed eating their chocolate confectioneries, you have been helping children in need? That’s right! Every Hershey’s brand product you purchase helps support children in need through the Milton Hershey School: a cost-free, private, coeducational home and school made to benefit children who are born into neighborhoods filled with extreme poverty and limited opportunities. This school helps enable children to obtain a first-rate education and get the encouragement and care from a community that gives them the boost they need to succeed and break the chains of poverty in their own communities.
To celebrate the 100 years of support for the Milton Hershey School, every standard and king sized Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar and Milk Chocolate Bar with Almonds will contain a special “Thank You” message in time for Valentine’s! You can find this thank you message on the back of the chocolate bar that states, “Every Hershey’s product you’ve enjoyed has helped support children in need through Milton Hershey School. Thank you for making a difference!” Doesn’t that make you feel good to know that while you’re savoring the rich, chocolate taste of a Hershey’s chocolate bar, that you’re helping a child in need to reach their full potential without any barriers holding them down? No matter what celebration prompts you to shower your loved ones with chocolates, why don’t you hand out treats with purpose and not only make your loved ones smile, but help make a brighter future for those kids who have the odds stacked against them! With Easter coming soon, it’s a terrific time to do just that!
Our family has always enjoyed the sweet, chocolate flavor and creamy texture of Hershey’s chocolate bars. I especially like mine with almonds, but the rest of the family prefer the original milk chocolate bar. Now when we’re enjoying a piece of chocolate whether as a treat, as an ingredient in a delicious dessert, or sandwiched between layers of graham crackers and roasted marshmallows, we’ll satisfy our sweet tooth and feel good that we’re helping a child need. You can also share your support and help build awareness for this fine foundation by visiting their website as they’ve integrated with Facebook Connect so friends and fans can spread the word by sending virtual “Thank You” messages to friends. It only takes a few seconds out of your day and will greatly help the cause to change the course of a child’s future for the best!
