Introducing Jacqueline Renner, Me, Myself, and I!

Trisha from MomDot brought up a good point today about bloggers not knowing much about a person and recalling a blogger, not by their name or photo, but from their blog name and logo.  The whole point of blogging is to get into a person’s life and be able to relate to them well enough to be able to recognize them outside of their blog.  To remedy this problem, she has put on an Introduce Yourself Day where you post about introducing yourself to your readers and fellow bloggers!

If we haven’t already been formally introduced online or in person, my name is Jacqueline Renner.  I am 28 years old and was born on Clark AFB in the Philippines.  I was named both after Jacqueline Smith from Charlie’s Angels and my grandmother on my father’s side, Elizabeth Catherine.  I am the oldest of six girls with my youngest sister being only 5 years older than my eldest daughter, Elizabeth.  Since my biological father was in the military, we got to travel and move often and I have lived in the Philippines, Germany, Texas, Wisconsin, and various cities in Alaska.

I went to both public and private schools for my high school education, but never earned my high school diploma until I was married through correspondence.  I met my husband, Dustin Renner, by chance online in 1999 and married him six months later.  We then started our family a year later and our first daughter, Elizabeth Catherine, came into our lives in November of 2001.  Since then our family has grown to include Ethan Alexander (born June 0f 2004), Liberty Rose (born May of 2006), and Molly Anne (born March 2008).  We now have a new miracle on the way and will be sharing their birthday with my youngest daughter since the baby is due March 11th of this year!

Our family lives in the beautiful Matanuska Valley in Alaska and we don’t ever plan to move.  We love that we have our children’s grandparents so close and that we can raise our kids in the majestic country and have the freedom to home school them as we run our Alaska real estate company together.  We are so blessed to work with amazing and talented friends and family that each bring so much value to the company with their special skills and talents.  It’s truly a team that works together and we’re lucky to be a group of tight knit friends that strive to uplift, support, and encourage each other to be successful in all areas of life.

I love to be creative and experience and learn new things every day.  In the past nine years, I have learned to knit, crochet, make homemade soaps and skincare products, sew, and start my own blog.  I also enjoy entertaining and cooking in the kitchen and will start sharing some of the recipes we use in our household on Blessings Abound Mommy soon.  I believe life is too short to cut it short by not experiencing as much as you can from what life has to offer.  Additionally,  I look at life with the glass half full rather than empty and know that anything can be achieved with the right mind set, faith, and prayer!
