My sister and I stepped out in below freezing temps Friday, November 20, for the opening of the Holiday Taste of Sam’s Club Event that went on this last weekend at the Penland Parkway store in Alaska. It was a good thing we came with empty stomachs as we were in for a treat with all the holiday sampling we had to do! One of the first things we spotted was this elegantly decorated holiday dinner table:
Then there was yummilicious food that was calling and the first sampling booth we spotted featured breaded chicken tenderloin with mashed potatoes and gravy! It was delicious and would be a great main dish and side for your next holiday dinner or get together:

There were two sampling booths that served beverages and both would work well for any holiday gathering! Here are pics of the sparkling cider and hot cocoa that were fine accompaniments to the appetizers and dessert we were served:
If you’re looking for good and tasty appetizer ideas you can try multi-grain crackers with cheese, meatballs, mixed nuts, and hot wings. All these appetizers are surely crowd pleasers and have been long time favorites when it comes to holiday entertaining:
Another yummy side dish you can offer your guests this holiday is a good substitute for the standby green bean casserole. We got to sample a cream of mushroom casserole that was just as tasty as the traditional green bean casserole:
Last, but not least, came dessert! The mouthwatering and satisfying cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory! What an excellent way to top off a holiday dinner or party:
After we sampled all the holiday tastes our Sam’s Club had to offer, we took a look around and browsed through the store and spotted several gifts that we will be purchasing for our loved ones this season. It was a fun day together that surely gave more insight to how we will be preparing our homes for our holiday guests and what we will serve them! I hope you all had a chance to get out to your local Sam’s Club this weekend and got to see for yourselves what Sam’s Club has to offer for your upcoming holiday festivities!!!

1 oz. white chocolate, melted
1-1/2 oz. vodka
1/4 oz. green crème de menthe
1/2 oz. white crème de cacao
1/4 oz. simple syrup
Sprig of mint for garnish
Directions:
Melt chocolate in shallow dish in microwave on low. Roll rim of martini glass in chocolate to create a chocolate “lip.” Combine remaining ingredients
Doesn’t that sound grand!
