Through the Mom Trials: Last November, I introduced you to FLOR™ and how you can change up the look of any room in the house easily with modular carpet tiles!  You can read more about the Classic Quilt Rug in Mango that I had put down in my living room and how it made a difference  by warming up my bare floors and transforming my living room to be much more inviting.  This season, FLOR™ has launched some Fall themed carpet and rug styles that you’re sure to love!

I was able to choose a rug from the new FLOR™ Fall Collection and I knew instantly that I would like a new rug for my dining room table.  After looking at all the rich and tasteful designs, I decided that the All Bark No Bit Rug in Meadow would fit right in with the current color scheme in our dining room.  I love the classically, stylish houndstooth design of the rug that adds a touch of autumn flavor and dash of elegance to the room.   With it’s neutral green color, it can transition from Fall to Wintertime, making mixing and matching of different holiday decor with the rug effortless!

The tiles are soft and cushy to the touch and feels much better to our feet during the cold fall and winter months than the bare, chilly hardwood floors.  You’ll notice in the picture above, the 5×7 tiled rug is a bit short for what I had in mind.  I can easily add eight more tiles to turn it into an 8×10 rug that will fit the area perfectly which is what I plan to do in the future.  I just love that I have the freedom to do that without sacrificing the look or style I want!

Like every FLOR™ rug or carpet design, installing your new rug or carpet is a piece of cake!  First you plan how you’d like to your rug or carpet to look and lay the tiles out just how you want them.  You then use the one sided, sticky dots and align the corners of the tiles that you want locked together with the markings found on the dots for straight, even placement.  Firmly press down on the corners of the tiles with the sticky dot in place and repeat with all the tiles you want stuck together and you’re done.s  You can complete your desired 5X7 tiled rug within 15 minutes of your time!  Also, if you ever decide to change your design, the FLOR™ dots aren’t permanent so you’re free to change the look as often as you want!

Maintaining your FLOR™ tiles to look brand new all year is easy!  Simply vacuum tiles regulary and spot clean for normal daily wear and tear.  For more difficult stain and spot removal, you may hand wash the tiles in the sink with a mild detergent or use a professional carpet steam cleaner.  You’ll get years of use out of your tiles with just these few steps of care!
