I can honestly say that I am not a fan of artificial sweeteners and love the real thing. Sugar and honey and agave is what I usually use in my home for sweetening up my beverages and baked foods. Anything artificial never tastes quite as good and leaves me with a cumbersome headache. Then I was introduced to Truvia, a natural sweetener made from the stevia plant.
Now, don’t turn your nose up quite yet! I’m like you that have tried stevia in both powdered and liquid form and couldn’t shake the bitter aftertaste. I didn’t ever think I’d try another brand of stevia again, but have heard quite a bit of talk about this particular brand and that they only use rebiana, the best tasting part of the stevia plant, in the process of making this calorie free sweetener. As one that likes to indulge and satisfy my sweet tooth but also like to maintain a healthy lifestyle, I thought why not give this one a chance?
With all stevia, it is concentrated so you don’t have to use as much as you would when you’re sweetening your food with sugar. One little packet equals the sweetness of two teaspoons of sugar and the taste is pretty similar! I found no traces of bitterness and my family couldn’t tell the difference when I substituted this in place of sugar in baked treats and smoothies. You no longer have to sacrifice your sweet tooth cravings with this zero calorie sweetener and your waistline will thank you for it! Additionally, You can find Truvia online and in your local Whole Foods and Walmart.

You sound like a real Truvia fan. However, you seem to have fallen for the FALSE claims of Truvia as a “natural” sweetener. Truvia is as natural as the car fuel that they put in it. Yes, Virginia, there is car fuel in your Truvia (and PureVia) sweeteners. They are both made from Rebiana, which is a chemically produced pure Reb A product. There is no such thing as Rebiana in nature, or in a stevia plant. Rebiana is created under laboratory conditions by chemically splitting the stevioside molecule with ethanol or metanol, to create a Reb A molecule. This leaves a residual of methanol or ethanol in your sweetener. Would you want to put car fuel in your coffee, tea or cheesecake?? I don’t think so, but that is precisely what you are doing when you use Truvia and PureVia. SweetLeaf Sweetener is the ONLY 100% natural stevia sweetener that is made using ONLY purified water…no residual chemicals because chemicals are not used in the process. Sweetness as nature intended. SweetLeaf Sweetener.
