Pure Anada: Pure Cosmetics

Jacqueline February 8, 2009 9:39 am Giveaways

I like to wear as much natural products on my skin as possible and that includes cosmetics. I’m not new to wearing mineral makeup and was delighted to try out Pure Anada . Unlike many mineral make up lines out there, they are truly all natural which is great for my sensitive skin. I was unsure of what colors to try out because I’m not very good at picking out colors for myself so Candace was gracious enough to choose some of her best selling shades for me. I was surprised at the amount of samples I was able to try out! The loose mineral foundations were lightweight but yet provided even, full coverage on my face. My face looked smoother and my blemishes were barely noticeable at all. The application lasted for hours, much longer than regular makeup. I did have to blend together a couple of the pots to find the right match but like I mentioned earlier, I didn’t pick it out the colors myself. I was impressed that even through a snowstorm, when my foundation normally gets washed away with the melting flakes, this stayed water resistant and my make up looked as fresh as it did when I first put it on!

I loved trying out all the eye shadows and mixing and matching them together. They didn’t settle in the crease of your eyes or look caked on and enhanced your eyes subtly without overdoing it. I really liked their Cedar Rose and Cafe Latte shades and that you can get creative with all the colors they offer. It’s easy to transition your day look into evening by adding a couple extra applications for a more dramatic look. Their lip glosses are very rich and explode with color! A little definitely goes a long way for me and I liked that it didn’t feel sticky or heavy when applied. The lipsticks won’t dry out your lips and are enriched with natural oils and botanicals. Both products stay put on your pout for hours and I didn’t have to constantly retouch it through out the day.

The cosmetic brushes are high quality, natural bristle brushes and ensures you get the right amount of makeup on without creating a mess. The bristles are soft on your face and stay in place unlike a lot of applicator brushes I’ve owned in the past. There’s nothing more frustrating as putting on your make up only to have the bristle hairs fall out and drop on your face and you’re left to pick them off and possibly mess up your make up.

I also like their refreshing Green Meadow Facial Mist. One spray before you apply makeup is enough to keep your face hydrated and toned all day long with the soothing benefits of aloe and antioxidant properties of green tea. I like to spritz it over my make up feel freshened up throught out the day!

I have tried a couple of brands of mineral makeup and I love it. But, I have only tried the pressed powders. I really really want to try the lip gloss. I have a thing for lip gloss/things that make my lips shiny.

  4. Antioxidants can help the condition of your skin and the health of your cells, I am not so sure if it will help acne, I have never heard of that, and it doesnt seem to make sense. I get pimples all over my face because i work in a dirty environment, its completely independant of my health and skin condition.

If you want to add antioxidants to your diet, there is a product called Exfuze, its a daily suppliment in the form of a tasty juice. They make it from the 7 most nutrient packed fruits known by science, asside from being a great source of antioxidants, and vitamins, it has coutless other benfits
